About Me, Gary Baker, owner and CEO of Road Potomac, LLC.
I started my driving journey in 2006 with a new to me 2002 Porsche 911 type 996, then upgraded to a 2014 Porsche 911 type 991. I became more involved driving autocross and drivers education track events and I found the part that was really important was skid pad. I was on the executive team for PCA Potomac, the Founders' Region for 8 years beginning with serving as Autocross Chair as well as Club Race Chair. I became a National Instructor for Porsche Club of North America in 2015 and am a Red Run Group Driver with PCA. I also developed and ran the skid pad program for Porsche Club of America, Founders Region. From there I founded Road Potomac, LLC. that focuses on developing skid pad skills, especially for drivers who wanted more control at organized driving events. I still have drivers come up to tell me how their newfound skillset saved them from potential injury or damage to their car. I've had drivers from as far as Michigan, Connecticut, New Hampshire, North Carolina, New Jersey and Delaware to name a few.. I've been featured in "Volcov Origin" (2022) and am listed on IMDb, a website that provides information about movies, TV shows, and other media.
